Job Summary:

The accountant position requires knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the accounting field. The accountant must rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions and duties of the job under general supervision.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Follows all policies, protocols, and SOPs
• Lead month-end close efforts, including preparing reconciliations and posting journal entries
• Ensure sales and use tax compliance across multiple states
• Work with Manufacturing team to ensure accurate and properly costed inventory
• Prepare reports for VMRD leadership on the performance of the business
• Work with Accounting Assistant to research and resolve outstanding reconciling items, open AR & AP
• Respond to customer requests such as credit and audit information
• Other responsibilities as assigned

• Knowledge of ERP systems, especially within a manufacturing environment
• 1-2 years of experience in the field or in a related area
• Ability to quickly learn new skills and assume new responsibilities
• Excellent communication skills

Education, Licenses and Certifications:

• Bachelor's or higher degree in Accounting or Finance

Physical Requirements for the Job:

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Salary Range: $24.00 - 30.00 per hour

Our salary ranges are benchmarked for the eastern Washington region and similar positions. The range listed is just one component of VMRD's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include bonuses.
