The VMI Alumni Association is seeking a dynamic Director of Alumni Recruitment Programs to plan and implement strategies, strengthen alumni bonds, expand engagement opportunities, support cadet recruiting, and help advance the mission and legacy of VMI.
About the Role
The Director of Alumni Recruitment Programs connects the Alumni Association, VMI Office of Admissions, and alumni nationwide to support strategic enrollment efforts. This role leads alumni-driven engagement initiatives, strengthens relationships, and represents VMI at events across the country.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and maintain positive relationships among colleagues and guests
- Partner with VMI Admissions on recruiting initiatives
- Engage alumni chapters in recruiting events
- Lead signature programs like Legacy Day
- Present to alumni groups and reunion classes
- Manage recruiting programs and oversee cadet interns
- Travel up to 25%
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Energy and enthusiasm and support for Agencies programs and projects
- Experience with event planning, recruiting, or program coordination
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and presentation tools
