Tech Support Programmer – POS Systems (On-Site)

Vlore POS Plus provides advanced Point of Sale (POS) systems, payment solutions, and merchant services for restaurants and retail businesses. As we expand our operations in Illinois, we are opening a small Tech Support office in Rapids City to support local customers with installations, service, and system support.

We are looking for a motivated, hands-on individual who has a basic technology background and the drive to grow into advanced POS systems, payment processing, and device deployment.

Job Description

This is a Monday–Friday, full-time position based in our Rapids City office, with regular travel to customer locationsfor installations, service calls, and technical support.

You will work directly with POS systems and payment devices, learning how to deploy, configure, and support complete restaurant and retail technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for POS systems both in-office and on-site at customer locations
• Install, configure, and service POS hardware, software, and payment devices
• Assist with troubleshooting system, network, and payment-related issues
• Learn how to deploy complete POS systems, including terminals, printers, KDS, networking, and payment devices
• Support customers with professionalism, patience, and a solutions-focused mindset
• Work closely with the internal team to document issues, solutions, and improvements
• Continuously learn POS technology, payment processing systems, and device integrations

Qualifications

• Basic experience or strong interest in technology, IT, or POS systems
• Comfortable working with computers, hardware, and basic networking
• Willingness to learn payment systems, device deployment, and POS software
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to stay calm under pressure
• Good communication skills and customer-service mindset
• Valid driver’s license required (local travel for installs and service)

Preferred (But Not Required)

• Experience with POS systems or payment terminals
• IT support, field service, or on-site technical support experience
• Familiarity with basic programming concepts, databases, or system configurations
• Restaurant or retail technology experience
