We are seeking an Engineering Project Manager who can bring structure, transparency, and process discipline to a fast‑moving, highly technical environment. This role is ideal for someone who has transitioned from Electrical or Mechanical Engineering into Project Management and is experienced in the full project lifecycle—from concept through go‑live and post‑production support.

This position plays a key role in coordinating Project Management, Engineering, and Sales activities, supporting the delivery of industrial x‑ray components and high‑voltage systems across a wide range of industries.

This opportunity is in our Global Headquarters in Bohemia, NY and is onsite, 5 days per week.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including timelines, task assignments, progress tracking, and adjustments as needed.
• Manage schedules for all Engineering activities, including new product development, continuous improvement, and R&D initiatives.
• Support the Sales Team by preparing formal engineering reports and coordinating with the departments across VJ X-Ray
• Assist in proposing project budgets, staffing plans, and equipment requirements.
• Partner with our Leadership team on customer communication, project oversight, and schedule reporting.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with Sales, Marketing, Production, and Engineering teams.
• Prepare reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
• Utilize and optimize the company ERP system for project and operational workflows.
• Adhere to all VJX and OSHA safety policies.

Essential Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a project engineering or sales engineering role within a technology or power electronics manufacturing environment.
• Strong creative problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent organizational skills, including time management, prioritization, and project coordination.
• Self‑motivated, confident, and effective in team‑based environments.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships.
• Comfortable working under pressure in a fast‑paced, evolving environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to interpret mechanical and electrical documents, including BOMs, blueprints, drawings, and schematics.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally to company facilities and customer sites as needed.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. and able to pass a background check and drug screening.

Preferred (Non‑Essential) Qualifications

• Experience with x‑ray or power electronics technologies.
• Prior experience managing project budgets or schedules.
• Experience with ERP systems and integrating PPM/PM tools.
• Demonstrated customer service skills.
• Must maintain alertness and perform essential functions safely.
• Ability to manage challenging customer interactions professionally.
