OVERVIEW Summary It is the primary responsibility of the Lounge food runner to provide beverage and food service. Must convey an upbeat and positive attitude, with the ability to engage the guest. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and company policies, practices and procedures. RESPONSIBILITIES Performance Provides clean China, silverware, and glassware upon request from customers. Set tables with dishes, linen, flatware, etc., as required. Maintains strict confidentiality in all company matters. Assist Assists wait staff with tray service as needed. Customer Service Attends to customer needs/requests (e.g., refilling beverages, condiments, paper products) in a polite and helpful manner. Adheres to departmental and property policies and procedures regarding guest service standards. Provides fast, friendly, professional, and responsive customer service to restaurant guests, food servers, and restaurant host/ess. REQUIREMENTS Qualifications Must be a minimum of 18 years of age. High school diploma or G.E.D. preferred. Prior customer service experience preferred. Must be able to obtain ServSafe Certification. Knowledge of sanitation, operation and maintenance of bar equipment. Skills Able to understand, read, write legibly in English. Maintain a professional, neat, and well-groomed appearance adhering to company standards. Strong customer service and interpersonal skills are required. Ability to work as part of a team and to promote cooperative approach between departments. Physical Demands Frequent brisk walking, climbing stairs, bending, lifting, stretching, reaching, kneeling, squatting, and standing for extended periods of time. Frequent lifting up to 30 pounds to stack, store or move materials, supplies and equipment. Occasional lifting and/or move up to 50 pounds. Must be able to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel and balance when performing job duties. Work Environment Ability to work unsupervised. Work varied shifts, which will include day/evening shifts, weekends, and holidays Available to work nights, weekends, holidays and overtime as needed. The noise level in the work environment is loud.
