Role Description
We are seeking a dependable and organized Assistant Project Manager to support our project team through all phases of construction. The APM will work closely with the Project Manager and Superintendent to assist with documentation, coordination, procurement, and project duties. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and ready to grow into a leadership position.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Project Manager in all phases of construction, from pre-construction through closeout.
- Assist in project scheduling, budgeting, and cost tracking.
- Review and coordinate project drawings, submittals, and specifications.
- Prepare and manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and meeting documentation.
- Communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Ensure all work adheres to safety, quality, and compliance standards.
- Attend meetings with clients and subcontractors.
- Conduct daily site visits to ensure progress and quality.
- Meticulous documentation and proper usage of field software.
- In addition to administrative duties, the APM will be expected to make daily site visits which can involve commuting to various destinations throughout the metroplex as well as meetings with inspectors, owners, subcontractors.
- Periodic site visits outside of the metroplex may be required as needed.
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of experience in commercial and residential construction (preferred).
- Strong organization and communication skills.
- Ability to read construction drawings.
- Proficiency with project management software (Procore, Bluebeam, or similar) is a plus.
- Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
