Warehouse Assistant

The Opportunity:

This position supports the logistics team and warehouse operations, including picking, packing, shipping, and inventory cycle counts. The role collaborates with all departments, the Lerma facility, and Distribution Centers to ensure accurate inventory management within the system and throughout warehouse operations. Strong time management, attention to detail, and responsiveness are essential to providing accurate inventory information, supporting operational efficiency, and driving continuous process improvement.

Responsibilities:

· Support daily warehouse operations, including order picking, packing, and shipping.

· Prepare and pull customer orders for shipment.

· Perform finished goods cycle counts, investigate discrepancies, and recommend inventory adjustments as needed.

· Receive inbound shipments, including transfers, returns, and material from Mexico.

· Verify that orders are shipped accurately and that the oldest available inventory is selected in accordance with established inventory practices.

· Assign and communicate storage locations for received materials.

· Safely operate a forklift to load, unload, and move materials.

· Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records and warehouse organization.

· Coordinate LTL, parcel, truckload, and warehouse transfer shipments.

· Support warehouse operations by ensuring accurate shipping, receiving, labeling, and inventory transactions.

· Process VLMs, inventory transfers, and production-to-warehouse movements in Dynamics 365 Business Central.

· Maintain accurate inventory records through system updates, reclassifications, and documentation control.

· Update shipment tracking information and distribute required reports.

· Maintain and update the Job Order Report (JOR) to support production and customer commitments.

· Investigate and resolve inventory, shipping, and operational issues in a timely manner.

· Support continuous improvement efforts while collaborating effectively with internal teams and distribution centers.

Qualifications:

· High school diploma or equivalent required.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.

· Strong data entry skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.

· Ability to develop proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (D365 BC).

· Experience with NAV, Dynamics, Business Central, or similar ERP systems preferred.

· Knowledge of scheduling shipments with LTL carriers.

· Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.

· Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.

· Adaptable and committed to continuous improvement.

· Must successfully complete company-provided lift truck training and certification.

· Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Physical Demands

· Ability to move throughout office and warehouse environments.

· Lift up to 55 pounds and safely operate a lift truck.

· Climb ladders; bend, squat, and reach overhead as needed.

· Stand for up to 8 hours per day.

· Maintain awareness of surroundings to identify potential warehouse hazards.

· Use a computer and keyboard for continuous data entry.

· Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when necessary.

Compensation Details: $18.00 - $25.00 hourly
