What are the responsibilities and job description for the 2nd Shift Compounding Lead position at Vit-Best Nutrition?
POSITION SUMMARY
The primary purpose of this position is to oversee the compounding operators ensuring their activities and respective areas meet the specifications outlined in the batch record.
This includes but not limited to following safety, quality, Standard Operating Procedures, cGMP requirements and Work Instructions within the department.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following):
- The Compounding Lead is responsible for working safely, following company policy, and Good Manufacturing Practices.
- The Compounding Lead will ensure that he/she works efficiently to minimize overtime and that he follows established priorities within the direction received from management.
- The Compounding Lead will respond to requests by other departments.
- The Compounding Lead will ensure that he/she accurately fills out any pertinent information needed on Equipment Records, Machine Logs or other related maintenance records as defined by established SOPs.
- The Compounding Lead is responsible for ensuring the department is kept in an organized, clean manner.
- The Compounding Lead will ensure the department’s compliance with cGMP’s, safety and company related policies and procedures.
- The Compounding Lead will ensure operators follow formulation instructions as defined by batch records as well as any rework instructions from R&D.
- The Compounding Lead is responsible for ensuing operators accurately fill out any pertinent information needed on cleaning logs and/or batch records.
- Safely operating a forklift and/or stand-up lift truck.
- May be assigned other tasks by supervisor or management.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) forklift certification preferred.
- Bilingual (Spanish) desired.
- Ability to read and interpret documents in English.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
- Minimum 3 years of compounding experience is preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
