Duties
- Conduct comprehensive surveys of lockout/tagout equipment across manufacturing facilities to verify proper installation, functionality, and compliance with OSHA and environmental regulations.
- Identify potential hazards related to hazardous materials regulations, environmental health standards, and occupational health requirements.
- Document survey findings meticulously through detailed reports, highlighting areas for improvement or immediate corrective action.
- Assist in root cause analysis of equipment failures or safety incidents related to lockout/tagout practices.
- Support environmental management systems by ensuring that hazardous materials are properly controlled during maintenance activities.
- · Prior lockout/tagout experience is a plus, but training will be provided.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of manufacturing equipment and facilities.
- Familiarity with the 7 primary energies.
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Understanding of various piping systems (Water, Steam, Chemical, etc.).
- Electrical background is important.
- Previous experience as a machine tool/automation builder is advantageous.
- Strong documentation and communication skills.
- Proficiency in using MS Word and Excel.
