As a Fleet Manager at Visual Edge IT, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our vehicle fleet operates safely, efficiently, and cost-effectively nationwide. You will oversee every aspect of fleet operations—from acquisition and maintenance to driver compliance and performance management—helping to keep our teams mobile and our business moving forward.

As a Fleet Manager at Visual Edge IT, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our vehicle fleet operates safely, efficiently, and cost-effectively nationwide. You will oversee every aspect of fleet operations—from acquisition and maintenance to driver compliance and performance management—helping to keep our teams mobile and our business moving forward.

Roles And Responsibilities
- Oversee the full lifecycle of the company’s vehicle fleet, including acquisition, maintenance, fuel management, and disposal strategies.
- Develop and manage annual fleet budgets, analyzing expenditures and identifying opportunities for cost savings and operational improvements.
- Implement and enforce fleet policies covering vehicle use, maintenance, accident reporting, driver safety, and compliance.
- Partner with regional leaders to forecast vehicle needs and ensure alignment with business objectives and operational growth.
- Manage vendor relationships for leasing, maintenance, fuel cards, insurance, and vehicle tracking systems.
- Oversee preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend vehicle life cycles.
- Ensure regulatory compliance with DOT, FMCSA, and other applicable laws and standards.
- Utilize fleet management software to monitor vehicle performance, fuel efficiency, and driver behavior.
- Prepare and present reports on fleet utilization, cost metrics, and key performance indicators.
- Lead initiatives focused on sustainability, safety, and operational efficiency across all fleet activities.
- Serve as the company’s subject matter expert for all fleet-related matters, ensuring effective collaboration with Finance, HR, and Operations teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field required.
- 3–5 years of experience managing corporate or commercial fleets across multiple locations.
- Strong working knowledge of fleet management systems, GPS/telematics tools, and preventive maintenance programs.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office Suite applications; experience with data analysis and reporting.
- Deep understanding of fleet operations, including vehicle acquisition, maintenance scheduling, fuel management, and regulatory compliance.
- Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
- Strong analytical thinker with a data-driven approach to decision-making and cost optimization.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across departments.
- Proven ability to develop and lead cross-functional initiatives that improve efficiency and performance.
- A proactive, team-oriented leader who takes ownership of results and continuously looks for ways to innovate and improve processes.
