Job Summary

As the Service Manager, you will lead our service department with hands-on expertise, performing advanced vehicle upfitting installations, including body swaps for flat beds and service bodies. You will ensure all work meets our rigorous quality standards and act as a problem-solver to address custom client specifications. You will also manage a team of technicians, coordinate service operations, and maintain outstanding customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced vehicle upfitting installations, including body swaps for flat beds and service bodies.
• Act as a problem-solver to address custom client specifications, ensuring tailored solutions meet client needs.
• Conduct thorough quality control checks to ensure all work meets Fleet Upfitters’ high standards.
• Lead, train, and motivate a team of technicians to deliver high-quality work on time.
• Coordinate service schedules to optimize workflow and meet customer deadlines.
• Communicate with clients to understand their needs, provide project updates, and ensure satisfaction.
• Manage inventory of parts and supplies to support seamless service operations.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe, organized work environment.
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
• Collaborate with other departments to improve processes and enhance service delivery.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in vehicle upfitting, automotive repair, or a related technical field, with expertise in advanced installations.
• Experience in commercial vehicle customization or truck accessories is a strong plus.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to guide and motivate a team while maintaining hands-on involvement.
• Strong problem-solving skills to address custom client specifications and complex installation challenges.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Proficiency in managing inventory and service schedules in a fast-paced environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or associate/bachelor’s degree in a related field is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
