PAYROLL IMPLEMENTATION SPECIALIST
The Payroll Implementation Specialist oversees the effective deployment of payroll systems for our clients. In this role you will be responsible for handling system setup, perform system testing, and ensure a seamless implementation process. The role requires expertise in payroll systems, a strong attention to detail, and a commitment to continuous improvement in processes.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Manage end-to-end implementation of payroll systems for new and existing clients.
· Configuring payroll software as per client’s requirements, including setting up deductions, pay rates, benefits, and taxes.
· Coordinate and manage the implementation of payroll for new clients.
· Conduct system testing and parallel payroll runs to ensure accuracy.
· Manage specialized payroll tasks, including garnishments and tax filings.
· Audit payroll records to verify accuracy and ensure regulatory compliance.
· Served as a primary point of contact for clients during the implementation phase.
· Lead the development and enhancement of payroll application.
· Develop and execute payroll strategies aligned with client objectives.
· Facilitate open communication with clients and internal departments to ensure seamless payroll operations.
· Maintain and update payroll policies and procedures, ensuring secure documentation.
· Promote alignment with company values, competencies and performance expectations.
· Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree: Accounting, Business Administration, Finance or related field.
· Minimum of 5 years of experience in payroll implementation and benefit administration
· Expertise in multi-state payroll implementation; isolved strongly preferred.
· Extensive knowledge of payroll function, including preparation, balancing, internal controls, and payroll taxes.
· Excellent technical and troubleshooting skills.
· Strong understanding of payroll systems and data integration.
· Exceptional attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information discreetly.
· Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
· Strong supervisory, leadership, organizational and prioritization skills.
· Experience working in a start-up environment, preferred.
· Competent working in fast-paced PEO setting, preferred.
· Hands on experience handling multiple client organizations.
· Advanced Excel skills
