About the Role:

The Irrigation Specialist plays a critical role in designing, installing, and maintaining efficient irrigation systems that support sustainable agricultural and landscaping practices. This position ensures optimal water distribution to enhance plant health, conserve water resources, and improve overall landscape aesthetics. The specialist collaborates closely with landscape designers, agricultural managers, and maintenance teams to tailor irrigation solutions that meet specific environmental and crop requirements. By monitoring water quality and system performance, the specialist identifies and resolves issues promptly to prevent water waste and system failures. Ultimately, this role contributes to the long-term productivity and environmental stewardship of agricultural and landscaped areas through expert irrigation management.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in irrigation system installation and maintenance.
  • Knowledge of hydraulics and electrical wiring as related to irrigation systems.
  • Familiarity with landscape design principles and lawn care practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and irrigation schematics.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to operate relevant machinery and tools safely.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in irrigation technology or related field.
  • Experience with water quality testing and management.
  • Background in masonry work related to irrigation infrastructure.
  • Training in sustainable water management and conservation techniques.
  • Experience working within the agriculture, forestry, or landscaping industries.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, install, and maintain irrigation systems tailored to agricultural and landscaping needs.
  • Conduct regular inspections and troubleshooting of irrigation equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with landscape designers and agricultural teams to integrate irrigation plans with overall site design.
  • Monitor water quality and usage to promote efficient water conservation practices.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks including electrical wiring repairs, hydraulic system adjustments, and masonry work related to irrigation infrastructure.
  • Manage trimming and landscaping activities to maintain system accessibility and plant health.
  • Document system configurations, maintenance activities, and water usage reports for compliance and operational review.
