The primary role BI Analyst is to expand capabilities of Power BI. The BI Analyst will work directly with business stakeholders and IT management to elicit requirements, provide ideas for improvements, and deliver well-documented solutions that accommodate stakeholder and business process needs. The BI Analyst’s ability to utilize Snowflake, SQL, relational data modeling, and telling the story from the data will be critical to the success of the program.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Required Qualifications:
3 years Power BI experience, including requirements gathering
Must be local to Denver - we will not consider out of states candidates
Advanced capabilities in DAX, Power Query, specializing in developing complex data models to multiple users for reporting
Experience connecting to multiple data sources, modeling converting data to Intelligence and data driven decisions
Experience developing SQL queries for data profiling, report validation, and deep dive into data discrepancies
Assist with and be on call for after hours support
Compensation
$90,000 - $105,000 15% Annual Incentive Potential
Job Description

The BI Analyst will work directly with business stakeholders and IT management to elicit requirements, provide ideas for improvements, and deliver well-documented solutions that accommodate stakeholder and business process needs. The BI Analyst’s ability to utilize Snowflake, SQL, relational data modeling, and telling the story from the data will be critical to the success of the program.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Translate functional requirements in order to tell the story of the data, utilizing Power BI reports, dashboards and visualizations either via ad hoc and operational reporting.
- Handle large data sets and optimize dashboards for performance. Optimize performance of BI solutions, including data modeling and report refresh efficiency.
- Ensure data accuracy, performance optimization, and usability of reports and dashboards.
- Lead ML and AI initiatives related to sales data and implementation of best practices.
- Train internal clients on BI tools and best practices for self-service reporting.
- Act as a subject matter expert on Power BI, providing guidance and support to team members and stakeholders.
- Assist with ongoing information architecture planning, design, and development efforts, including data marts, models, and warehouses related ETL/ELT processes.
