Acquisition Specialist

VISTA Technology Services, Inc. (VISTA) is seeking an Acquisition Specialist to support a DISA PEO Services (SD) contract located at Ft. Meade, MD. This is a hybrid position. The successful candidate will be part of a highly professional, results-oriented company. 

Responsibilities:

The Acquisition Specialist will provide DoD Business Capability Acquisition Cycle (BCAC), DoD Instruction 5000.02, and ACAT I through ACAT III level acquisition support and guidance. They will also:

• Conduct independent research and analysis
• Develop and provide recommendations in the drafting and review of acquisition package documents to include Market Research documents, Requests for Information (RFI), Sources Sought Notices, PWS, Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCE), Acquisition Strategies, Acquisition Plans, Quality Assurance Surveillance Plans (QASP), Severability Plans, 508 compliance documentation, GFP/GFE Justification and acquisition Lessons Learned documents
• Provide support to the programs, projects, acquisition of services, and initiatives ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements
• Provide support to Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and similar acquisition or programmatic forums
• Attend Internal Program Reviews
• Provide recommendations and analysis to support the implementation of improvements/efficiencies within the acquisition process utilizing multiple forums such as the Internet, Microsoft SharePoint, and other electronic repositories

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree AND 4 years of program management experience; 6 yrs of experience will be considered in lieu of a degree
• Knowledge of DoD Acquisition Process
• Experience developing, drafting, and reviewing DoD acquisition package documents (Market Research documents, Requests for Information (RFI), Sources Sought Notices, PWS, Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCE), Acquisition Strategies, Acquisition Plans, Quality Assurance Surveillance Plans (QASP), Severability Plans, 508 compliance documentation, GFP/GFE Justification and acquisition Lessons Learned documents)
• Experience with DoD BCAC, DoD Instruction 5000.02, and ACAT I, II, and III Programs
• Active DoD Secret Clearance

Salary at VISTA is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $65,000.00 to $80,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of VISTA's total compensation package for employees.
