SPEECH LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST

Speech Language Pathologist Job Summary:The Speech Language Pathologist is responsible for the assessment of referred patients, ranging in age from 18 years to older who are experiencing medically complex conditions or medical surgical conditions requiring rehabilitation and/or wound care needs. Responsible for providing direct patient care to assess their communicative, swallowing, and cognitive disorders to improve their optimal, functional level of independence and potential for rehabilitation. To establish and administer a treatment program with specific goals determined according to the patient's capacity and tolerance under the direction of the Physician. Educate patients and families with appropriate speech therapy methods.

Qualifications
Education:

Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology required
Licenses/Certification:
-
Current license for Speech Language Pathology field in state of employment

Successful completion of a national exam in speech language pathology, and completion of a nine (9) month clinical fellowship.

Must maintain current Provider CPR certification and licensure throughout employment
Experience:
-
Experience in modified barium swallow studies
-
Preferred experience in Inpatient Rehab
