Web Application Developer (Contractor)

Location: Sacramento, CA – (Hybrid- 3 days onsite, 2 days remote)

Contract Term: 12 Months (with potential for extension

Must have experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.

Overview:

The Department of Health Services is seeking a skilled Web Application Developer to support the Behavioral Health Services Division. This is a 12-month contract position with the possibility of extension. The ideal candidate will contribute to the development and maintenance of web applications that support critical behavioral health initiatives.

Must have experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain web applications using ASP.Net Core, C#, MVC, and Angular.
• Conduct thorough research and analysis to solve complex technical problems.
• Work with relational databases and write efficient SQL queries.
• Develop and maintain reports using SSRS and Power BI (preferred).
• Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
• Manage tasks independently and ensure timely completion of assignments.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proficiency in ASP.Net Core, C#, MVC, and Angular.
• Strong experience with relational databases and SQL.
• Excellent analytical, research, and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with SSRS and Power BI.
• Familiarity with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
• Interest in emerging technologies and innovation.
• Strong background in coding languages, databases, and data analytics tools.

Education & Certifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft, AWS, etc.) are a plus.
