Our client is seeking a Systems Engineer with a background in Linux and/or Windows. This is a direct hire position and will be fully onsite for the first 90 days, after which you'll transition to a hybrid schedule.

Position Title: Systems Engineer – Linux/Windows Infrastructure
Overview:
We’re seeking a motivated Systems Engineer to join our infrastructure and platform operations team, responsible for maintaining thousands of servers and large-scale storage systems supporting critical business applications. This position offers hands-on exposure to multiple technology domains—Windows, Linux, Virtualization, and Storage—through direct collaboration with senior engineers on design, performance, and automation projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support and maintain enterprise computing environments, ensuring performance, scalability, and uptime across both physical and virtual systems.
- Participate in team rotations across Windows, Linux, and open-source environments to broaden technical expertise and support ongoing initiatives.
- Troubleshoot application, system, and network-level issues while contributing to long-term solutions that enhance reliability and efficiency.
- Assist in system build-outs, performance tuning, and configuration management.
- Develop automation scripts using tools such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash to streamline processes and improve operational consistency.
- Collaborate with other teams in architecture, networking, and security to deliver cohesive infrastructure solutions.
- Participate in proof-of-concept testing for new hardware, virtualization technologies, and containerized environments.
- Engage in mentoring and learning sessions to gain deep technical insight from senior staff and apply it toward production systems.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline.

- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Experience with Linux, Windows, or scripting (Python, PowerShell, Bash) required.
- Familiarity with virtualization or container technologies is a plus.
- Willingness to work a rotating shift schedule (7:00am–4:00pm, 9:00am–6:00pm, and 11:00am–8:00pm).
Salary : $90,000 - $110,000
