Role Overview:
Manager reviewed a technical role supporting a critical mainframe-to-DevOps migration initiative. The hiring timeline is tight, and the role is considered high priority due to the complexity and impact of the work.
Technical Requirements (Core):
This role requires a strong mainframe engineering background with hands-on migration experience.
Must-Have Skills:
CA ChangeMan ZMF (CMF) – required
IBM IDz / IDzEE (IDZEE) – required
Mainframe development and build processes
JCLs, skeletons, and mainframe compilation workflows
Experience supporting or executing CMF → IDZEE migrations (highly preferred)
Migration Experience:
Prior experience migrating from ChangeMan ZMF to IDz/IDzEE is a strong differentiator
Candidates without direct migration experience may be considered only if they have:
Deep CMF expertise
Strong IDZEE experience
Ability to quickly ramp up on migration-specific requirements
DevOps & Tooling Context
The organization has an existing DevOps team
Mainframe development is not yet fully integrated into DevOps tools
This role supports enabling that transition
IDZEE is already a DevOps-oriented platform, but mainframe constraints still apply
