ALTA IT Services is seeking a highly experienced Z/OS Mainframe Developer with deep expertise in Assembler, COBOL, and CICS. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial services systems and thrive in an Agile development environment.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in:
- COBOL
- DB2
- Command-Level CICS
- JCL
- Batch processing
- TSO/ISPF
- Extensive hands-on experience with Assembler, COBOL, and CICS in a Z/OS Mainframe environment
- Strong coding skills with proven adherence to development standards
- Familiarity with SDLC and Agile methodologies
- Experience with FIS OPF (Open Payments Framework) for ACH processing
- FIS Connex experience is a plus, but not require
- Analyze, define, and document technical designs
- Design and develop new applications and integrate enhancements
- Maintain and monitor systems post-deployment
- Prepare test data, conduct testing, and debug code
- Troubleshoot and resolve application issues
- Conduct research and provide technical recommendations
- Participate in full-cycle application development
- Experience with Serena ChangeMan ZMF
- Development experience with IBM Mainframe Assembly language and Concept 14 macros
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Effective verbal and written communication
- Ability to manage conflicting priorities and adapt to changing requirements
