What You’ll Do as a Veterinary Technician
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Obtain patient history and vitals
- Patient restraint for procedures
- Perform laboratory procedures including hematology, serology, blood chemistry, urinalysis, fecal analysis, and skin/ear cytology
- Perform or assist with diagnostic testing/radiography
- Provide comprehensive client education in person and on the phone
- Assist in surgery and monitor anesthesia.
- Perform dental cleanings and radiographs
- Provide nursing care for hospitalized patients
Successful Candidate Requirements
- RVT license
- Must be motivated, reliable, organized, and adaptable to changes.
- Committed to learning and practicing Low-stress techniques.
- Must be able to communicate well with clients by showing care and concern for them as well as their pets.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task, function independently, and contribute to the success of the team in a face-paced environment.
- Ezyvet software experience is preferred (can substitute experience with other veterinary management software).
