Position: School Nurse/Health Service Supervisor
Location: Granby Public Schools (Elementary, Intermediate, Middle, and High School)
Organization: Visiting Nurse & Hospice of Litchfield County (VNHLC)
Schedule: Full-Time, Ten-Month Position (School Year: mid-August – mid-June)

Overview:
VNHLC manages the School Nursing Program for the Town of Granby, ensuring high-quality health services across all public school levels. We are currently seeking a qualified and compassionate School Nurse/Health Service Supervisor to oversee and support nursing services throughout the Granby Public Schools.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and support school nursing staff in daily operations and student health services.
Oversee the delivery of comprehensive healthcare services and ensure compliance with school health regulations and policies.
Collaborate with school administrators, teachers, parents, and healthcare providers to support student well-being and manage health plans.
Provide direct care as needed, including emergency response, health assessments, and chronic disease management.
Maintain accurate health records and ensure confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and FERPA.
Participate in health education, wellness initiatives, and professional development for school nurses.
Requirements:
Current, valid Registered Nurse (RN) license from the State of Connecticut.
Current BLS or CPR/AED certification.
Bachelor’s degree in nursing or a related field (preferred).
Experience in school nursing or pediatrics required.
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
