Position Summary:
Responsible for providing nutrition assessment and counseling to ensure WIC Program services are provided to eligible participants
Principal Responsibilities:
to carry/lift 40 lbs; requires setting up tables and chairs; requires transporting supplies and equipment to WIC
clinics; responsible for laptop and related equipment.
In compliance with New Jersey's Pay Transparency Act, the total compensation range for this position is USD $40,000 to USD $80,000. When determining an offer, VNA Health Group considers factors such as the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's work experience, education/training, relevant skills, internal pay equity, and market and organizational conditions. The total compensation range reflects the total package, including base salary, overtime, bonuses, add-on incentives, special clinical compensation, retirement plans, and all other benefits. - Supports organization’s mission by striving for excellence in all aspects of their job with a focus on
- Delivers a high level of customer service to assure positive patient experience
- Completes comprehensive nutrition health assessment to determine WIC Program eligibility
- Assesses needs of WIC participants for special formula
- Provides nutrition education in appropriate format
- Develops and maintains network of social services, food and community resources
- Assesses daily clinic flow and makes adjustments as necessary
- Adheres to agency infection control and safety policies
- Adheres to the organization’s policy in regards to absenteeism and appearance
- BS in Dietetics, Food and Nutrition from accredited Plan IV, V or Didactic Program of the Academy of
- Approval from NJ State WIC Office required
- Experience with culturally diverse population
- Strong communication, customer service and interpersonal skills
- Computer experience preferred
- Valid drivers license
