Certified Home Health Aide - CHHA
Visiting Angels Jersey Shore is looking to add a caring, compassionate Certified Home Health Aide - CHHA to our team. A Certified Home Health Aide - CHHA works in support of the client’s safety, dignity, well-being and ability to remain living at home.
A Certified Home Health Aide - CHHA travels to the client’s home to provide direct care including but not limited to:
- Personal Care and Grooming
- Ambulation
- Special Procedures
- Homemaking, Meal Preparation, Light Housekeeping
- Assistance with other Activities of Daily Living
A Visiting Angels Certified Home Health Aide - CHHA works under a Registered Nurse, and there are no supervision responsibilities with this position. The CHHA has HIPAA restricted access to certain client information, and is an hourly per-diem, non-exempt Direct Care staff member with no guaranteed minimum number of hours per week.

Certified Home Health Aide - CHHAR Requirements:
- Valid certification as a Home Health Aide (HHA), licensed by the New Jersey State Board of Nursing
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Drivers Preferred
- Ability to perform patient observation accurately and respond promptly to changing health conditions
- Compassionate attitude combined with excellent communication skills; ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physical stamina to assist with mobility tasks and perform caregiving duties throughout shifts
