Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA)

Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate and reliable Certified Home Health Aides (CHHA) to provide high-quality care to patients in their homes. The CHHA will assist patients with daily living activities while promoting comfort, dignity, and independence under the supervision of the home health carestaff. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring home health services, including those with chronic conditions, disabilities, or recovering from illness.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with personal care (bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting)
• Support mobility, transfers, and ambulation
• Take and record vital signs as instructed
• Assist with light housekeeping and meal preparation
• Observe and report changes in patient condition to supervising nurse
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation
• Provide companionship and emotional support
• Follow infection control and safety protocols

Qualifications

• Valid certification as a Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).
• Proven experience in home health care, long-term care facilities, nursing homes, assisted living communities, or similar settings (preferred)
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, or memory care needs
• Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for accurate medical documentation and record keeping.
• Ability to perform patient observation diligently and respond swiftly to changing conditions.
• Current CPR certification (BLS preferred)
• Capable of working independently while maintaining excellent communication skills within a caregiving team.
• Ability to travel to patient homes within service area
• Compassionate attitude combined with physical stamina to support patients effectively in their home environment

Pay: $30.00 - $50.00 per hour
