With a core office in Clintonville and a satellite office in Westerville, we are committed to delivering compassionate, dependable, high-quality non-medical home care that helps seniors remain safe, comfortable, and independent at home.
Position Summary
Visiting Angels Central Ohio is seeking a strong General Manager, Senior Home Care to serve as the day-to-day operating leader of our business across both territories. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who is equally strong with people and operations; someone who can build structure, create accountability, solve problems quickly, coach a team, and help drive a high-performing, dependable operation.
The General Manager will oversee the core operating functions that drive growth, service quality, client satisfaction, caregiver satisfaction, and retention. This includes caregiver recruiting and hiring, onboarding and training, caregiver engagement and retention, client intake and conversion, scheduling and matching, compliance, documentation, service recovery, and team accountability.
This is not simply an administrative role. It is a true leadership opportunity for someone who wants to make a visible impact on the lives of clients, families, caregivers, and the overall health of the business.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead day-to-day operations across the Clintonville and Westerville offices
• Create alignment, accountability, and consistency across both territories
• Oversee caregiver recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and retention
• Strengthen client intake, lead conversion, and overall service experience
• Improve scheduling, match quality, and service reliability
• Ensure strong compliance, documentation, and operational readiness
• Coach, mentor, and develop team members while reinforcing high standards
• Step in operationally when needed to remove bottlenecks and protect performance
• Help drive strong KPI performance across growth, retention, service, and execution
Qualifications
• Proven leadership experience in a fast-moving, people-intensive service environment
• Strong operational management experience with accountability for people, process, and performance
• Ability to coach and develop a team while also stepping into operational details when needed
• Strong communication, judgment, organizational discipline, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage multiple priorities professionally
• Experience in home care, home health, hospice, senior living, healthcare staffing, or a related service business preferred
• LPN or RN background preferred, but not required
• Reliable transportation and ability to work across Clintonville and Westerville as needed
