Overview
Serve as the Executive Director and promote the Greater Summersville Area as a viable destination for visitors. This position includes overseeing the marketing, management, and financial pieces of Visit Greater Summersville. The Executive Director must be a leader and bring tourism partners together to achieve a high level of tourism, economic, and productive growth.

Responsibilities
- Oversee all administrative, operating, and marketing functions of Visit Greater Summersville
- Develop and implement an annual marketing plan to promote the Greater Summersville Area, which includes all of Nicholas County, to local, state, regional, national, and international audiences
- Prepare an annual budget and present it to the Board of Directors
- Schedule an annual audit or financial review to be prepared by an accounting firm in accordance with procedures approved by the Board of Directors
- Supervise the keeping of all records of Visit Greater Summersville as directed by the organizations bylaws, the Board of Directors, and applicable governmental regulations
- Supervise the receiving of all monies due and payable to Visit Greater Summersville, deposit said monies with such bank as designated by the Board of Directors, pay all bills and taxes, file tax documents, and maintain proper records and account for all monies received and disbursed by Visit Greater Summersville
- Attend all meetings of the Board of Directors and its designated committees in a nonvoting capacity
- Prepare a Director's report, including all financials, marketing updates, performance statistics, etc. to be presented to the the Board of Directors at each quarterly meeting
- Serve as the official spokesperson of Visit Greater Summersville and issue all written and oral position statements on its behalf
- Represent Visit Greater Summersville at selected local, regional, state, and national conventions that serve to foster the betterment of the mission of Visit Greater Summersville
- Plan, formulate, direct, and recommend policies, procedures, and programs for approval by the Board of Directors that will further the objectives of Visit Greater Summersville
- Work on other projects or activities or assume other responsibilities as assigned by the Board of Directors
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
