Customer Support Specialist

You will support the team by managing internal customer inquiries and providing timely, professional assistance.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide exceptional customer service via phone and email
- Handle inbound customer inquiries in a professional and timely manner
- Communicate clearly and effectively with customers, maintaining a friendly and articulate tone
- Listen actively with patience and empathy to understand customer needs
- Provide accurate information regarding benefit plans, services, and logistics
- Respond promptly to customer questions and resolve issues efficiently
- Maintain and update customer information using databases and internal systems
- Utilize Microsoft applications and other tools to document and track interactions
- Demonstrate strong typing skills (minimum 25 WPM) for accurate data entry
- Access, manage, and report on data to support service quality and performance standards
- Ensure all interactions align with company policies and high-quality customer service expectations
This is a 9-month contract opportunity in the Vancouver area with possibility of extension or direct hire. You will be working on-site 5 days per week, first shift hours 5:30 AM-2 PM. If you do a great job, you can apply to an internal positions throughout the company at the end of the contract period. REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Minimum of 6 months of experience in customer service, preferably call center environment
- Experience supporting internal teams in a customer service environment
- Strong attention to detail with demonstrated experience working in Microsoft applications
- Ability to work with a strong sense of urgency and follow tasks through to completion.
- Experience with data entry and tracking in Excel.
- Excellent listening skills with a patient and empathetic approach to customer interactions.
