What are the responsibilities and job description for the Optometric Technician position at Vision Source Meigs Clinic?
Vision Source Meigs Clinic is looking for a new team member! This is a full-time position (32-34 hours per week) and we are looking to hire immediately. Ideal candidates will have a positive attitude, enjoy working with people, be able to multitask and be willing to help in other areas of the office as needed.
Duties include gathering patient medical history, conducting diagnostic testing, contact lens care and handling, explaining fees and insurance benefits and communicating with doctors, staff, and patients.
You will be cross-trained to be able to shift between duties that include performing optometric technician tasks, to assisting patients with glasses adjustments and repairs as well as some front desk duties such as scheduling patients and taking payments.
The schedule will include 32-34 hours per week. Office hours are currently Tuesday - Friday, 8:00 am- 5:00 pm.
Pay is commensurate with qualifications and in the range of$12-$14 per hour with productivity bonuses as earned.
