Optician

We are looking for a Full Time Optician. NO EVENINGS or WEEKENDS! Work/Life balance!

LOCATION: busy, 1 doctor, private optometry practice in Sugar Grove, IL

PAY: $18-$25/hr, depending on experience.

SHIFT and SCHEDULE: M-F, 40 hours/week, business hours are 9am-5pm

Optician Candidate Requirements:

• Excels in patient service.
• Is a "people person" and enjoys taking care of people.
• Enjoys working as part of a Team.
• Has great communication skills.
• Carries a positive attitude.
• Computer skills and experience.
• Multitasking skills, able to shift and prioritize tasks through the work day.

Primary Work Responsibilities will include:

• engaging and assisting patients in selecting stylish eyeglass frames and lenses.
• scheduling patient appointments.
• placing and managing eyeglass and contact lens orders.
• Insurance! Medical and vision insurance verification, explanation, managing, and billing.
• dispensing, minor repair, and eyeglass adjustment.
• contributing to the cleanliness and organization of our office space.
• continuing to learn new skills, as needed.

Experienced Optician is a plus, but we are also willing to train an exceptional candidate who would be new to eye care.
