Vision IT is seeking a highly skilled Servers/Printers Systems Administrator to support mission-critical operations at Los Angeles Air Force Base. Key Responsibilities
- Administer, maintain, and support Windows-based server infrastructure and enterprise print environments.
- Install, configure, patch, and troubleshoot physical and virtual servers.
- Manage network printers, print servers, queues, drivers, and firmware updates.
- Monitor system performance, availability, backups, and security compliance.
- Perform system upgrades, hardware replacements, and preventive maintenance.
- Support Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and user account management.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, connectivity, and printing issues in a timely manner.
- Maintain system documentation, configuration records, and standard operating procedures.
- Ensure systems comply with DoD cybersecurity and security policies.
- Coordinate with cybersecurity teams to remediate vulnerabilities and apply STIG requirements.
- Provide technical support to end users and coordinate with vendors when necessary.
- Participate in after-hours maintenance windows and on-call support as required.
- Active Secret Clearance (required prior to start).
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
- 3 years of experience in systems administration and printer/server support.
- Experience administering Windows Server environments.
- Knowledge of print management systems and enterprise printer support.
- Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.
- Familiarity with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
- Understanding of cybersecurity best practices and DoD compliance standards.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and customer support abilities.
- CompTIA Security , Network , or Microsoft certifications.
- Experience supporting DoD or federal government environments.
- Familiarity with STIGs, ACAS, SCCM, or endpoint management tools.
- Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions.
