Vision Engineering, Inc. has an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and highly experienced, results-driven Sales Manager to join our leadership team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in commercial product sales and marketing; driving cost-effective growth; ensuring high-quality products and services; coupled with strengthening customer relationships in alignment with Company culture. The candidate will also have sales experience within a manufacturing or distribution environment managing diverse product lines with strong negotiating skills and consistent follow-up.
This vital role of the Sales Manager requires a highly motivated, self-starting, energetic, and forward-thinking team player who is committed to continuous improvement of people, processes, and products. The Sales Manager must quickly develop a deep knowledge of our cutting-edge, glare-free, efficient commercial lighting products as well as quickly building customer relationships to better lead our team toward achieving shared goals.
Responsibilities
- Plan, track, and execute sales initiatives, collaborating with Media, Engineering, and internal teams to optimize resources and align marketing and sales with business goals.
- Maintain CRM and customer data, tracking sales activities, pipeline, accounts, and interactions.
- Identify revenue opportunities, streamline sales processes, support forecasting, and advise leadership to drive profitable growth.
- Develop and implement sales and marketing plans, including product/territory forecasts, pricing strategy, budgets, and promotional programs.
- Build and strengthen the VE brand, differentiate from competitors, refine customer profiles, and monitor market trends.
- Create, edit, and optimize marketing and media materials across channels to support customer engagement.
- Support customers with lighting control and energy management system design and layouts.
- Maintain a polished, professional, and engaging appearance while representing the company at events, collaborating with internal teams and Customer Service to ensure satisfaction and resolve issues efficiently, all while upholding a positive company image.
- Performing other tasks as assigned
Minimum Qualification Requirements
- Strong account management skills with a focus on customer service excellence.
- Proven success in building and managing relationships with customers, reps, distributors, and contractors.
- Exceptional negotiation skills with a track record of closing high-value deals.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze data and market trends to make informed sales decisions.
- Knowledge and proven successful application of advertising and sales promotion techniques.
- Excellent communication, active listening, and presentation abilities; able to present ideas clearly and persuasively.
- Collaborative across all company levels; strong interpersonal skills and professionalism.
- Self-motivated, proactive, adaptable, and able to work independently while managing multiple projects.
- Works effectively with minimal supervision; exercises sound judgment, integrity, and dependability.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and accurate; able to prioritize, multi-task, and meet deadlines with urgency.
- Budget-conscious with sound decision-making and calculated risk-taking ability.
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications; ability to create reports, graphs, charts, etc.
- Flexible schedule; committed to company goals and culture with demonstrated leadership.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
- No immediate travel but will be required within and outside of Texas
Education / Experience / INDUSTRY
- BBA in Sales, Marketing, Management, or Finance or equivalent 10 years of experience
- Five plus years of sales experience required; sales management preferred.
- Worked in a highly visible, business to business selling role.
- Lighting industry sales/marketing experience is highly preferred
SALARY:
- Depends on experience and knowledge
- $90k to start up to $120k
