Role Description
This Part Time on-site Optician role is based in Long Beach, CA. The Optician will be responsible for assisting patients in selecting eyewear, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Other responsibilities include interpreting prescriptions from optometrists, educating patients on lens options, performing basic fittings and adjustments, and collaborating with the team to provide thorough eye care services.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of Optics and Eye Exams
- Proficiency in Optometry concepts and techniques
- Strong Customer Service and Customer Satisfaction skills
- Ability to communicate effectively and empathize with patients
- Attention to detail and precision in fitting and adjusting eyewear
- Basic understanding of inventory management in a clinical setting is a plus
- Experience in an optometric or optical retail environment preferred
