What are the responsibilities and job description for the Optician position at Eye Zone Optometry, Inc.?
Part time Optician (minimum 1 year optical experience preferred)
Seeking an optometry assistant for a part time position starting immediately. This is a small private practice, with emphasis on providing quality eye care to our patients. Minimum 1 year experience in the field is ideal. Open to training a motivated candidate with great personality and motivation. Some flexibility with schedule can be discussed.
This position involves, but not limited to the following:
-Optical sales
-Strong communication skills
-Strong leadership skills
-Experience with insurance verification and billing (VSP, Eyemed, etc)
-Dispensing glasses and contact lenses
-Contact lens training
-Frame adjustments and repairs (including knowing how to use manual lensometer)
-Filing and maintaining cleanliness of front desk/optical
-Scheduling appointments and answering phones
Knowledge of an additional language such as spanish is helpful, but not required. Serious inquiries only. Pay rate is dependent on level of experience. We desire someone who has a positive attitude, ability to multi-task, is a team player yet has ability to accomplish tasks independently.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $23.00 per hour
