Driver

Position Summary

The Driver is responsible for safely and professionally moving customer vehicles through the car wash process. This position plays an important role in keeping vehicles moving efficiently while protecting our customers’ property and providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive customer vehicles onto and off the car wash conveyor.
• Move vehicles between the vacuum, wash, drying, and finishing areas as needed.
• Follow proper loading and unloading procedures for every vehicle.
• Pay close attention to vehicle size, ground clearance, wheels, mirrors, antennas, and other potential concerns before loading.
• Make sure vehicles are placed in the correct gear and positioned properly on the conveyor.
• Never operate a customer vehicle recklessly or unnecessarily.
• Obey all posted speed limits and safety procedures on the property.
• Keep a safe distance between vehicles.
• Communicate clearly with loaders, dryers, vacuum employees, supervisors, and other team members.
• Immediately report any vehicle damage, warning lights, unusual noises, mechanical concerns, or incidents to a supervisor.
• Never remove, use, or disturb customer belongings.
• Help maintain an organized and efficient flow of vehicles during busy periods.
• Assist other departments when needed, including drying, vacuuming, cleaning, or general car wash duties.
• Keep the driving and loading areas clean and free of hazards.
• Provide friendly and respectful customer service at all times.

Driver Safety Rules

• Seat belts must be worn whenever required while operating vehicles.
• No speeding, racing, hard acceleration, unnecessary braking, or reckless driving.
• No cellphone use while operating customer vehicles.
• No adjusting the customer's radio, climate controls, seats, mirrors, or other settings unless necessary to safely operate the vehicle.
• Never take a customer vehicle off the property unless specifically authorized by management.
• Never allow another employee to ride inside a customer vehicle unless necessary and approved.
• Drivers must follow all management instructions regarding vehicles that may not be safe to run through the wash.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license.
• Safe driving record.
• Comfortable driving a wide variety of vehicles, including cars, SUVs, trucks, and both automatic and manual vehicles when applicable.
• Ability to work quickly without sacrificing safety.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Dependable and punctual.
• Able to communicate well with coworkers and supervisors.
• Willing to work outside and around water, heat, cold, and moving equipment.
• Able to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Must maintain a professional appearance and follow Vision Car Wash uniform standards.

Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour
