Role Description
This full-time, on-site role is for an Environmental Health Safety Specialist based in Montgomery, AL. The selected candidate will oversee the implementation and management of health, safety, and environmental programs, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Responsibilities include conducting safety training, monitoring workplace safety practices, developing and enforcing EHS policies, and performing evaluations to reduce risks and promote a safe working environment. Collaboration with team members at all levels to foster a culture of safety is a primary focus of this role.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge and experience in Environment Health and Safety (EHS) and Occupational Health.
- Expertise in Workplace Safety, Health & Safety protocols, and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Proficiency in Safety Training, including program development and employee engagement.
- Ability to assess and mitigate risks in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient communication and leadership capabilities to guide teams and promote safety culture.
- Bi-Lingual (Spanish/English)
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, or related field preferred.
- Certifications such as OSHA 30-Hour Training, CSP, or CHST are a plus.
- Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments is highly desirable.
