What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sr. Manager, Pricing Strategy position at Visa?
The Global Pricing Strategy team at Visa is responsible for managing pricing with the objective of driving revenue growth of Visa’s network and adoption of value-added services globally. Pricing is a critical lever in driving revenue objectives and is central to Visa’s business. The Pricing Strategy team provides pricing expertise and collaborates with cross-functional teams such as Client Services, Finance, Legal and more. We are a small but impactful team that works with leaders and executives to design pricing solutions and drive revenue growth.
The Senior Manager will lead and execute US deal strategy, initiatives related to Visa’s North America pricing objectives and broader corporate goals. You will help develop pricing frameworks to support our business on our most strategic deals. This role requires the ability to apply strong analytical and critical thinking skills to solve business problems and quickly arrive at recommendations that drive corporate priorities. Successful candidate will be a strategic thinker, who is able to excel at quickly grasping and clearly communicating complex topics.
The Senior Manager will report to the Director, Global Pricing Strategy, and will be based at Visa's office.
Essential Functions:
- Execute US deal strategy to support North America revenue objectives
- Work with cross-functional teams (Product, Interchange, Finance, Legal, Sales, etc.) to oversee end-to-end deal process and execute across deals and various pricing initiatives. Provide pricing expertise as well as best practices for disciplined pricing and deal management
- Provide rigorous, quantitative and qualitative analyses in support of identifying and vetting deal opportunities
- Develop pricing and deal constructs for North America clients such as merchants and payment service providers
- Manage various aspects of deal generation and execution, including business case development, stakeholder impact assessments, management approvals, and support for contract negotiations
- Communicate recommendations to senior management, other executive, functional, or regional staff in a clear, concise and impactful way
- Support elements of North America and Global pricing strategy development and refinement, including opportunity identification and pricing change planning to achieve strategic business outcomes
- Build and maintain business landscape knowledge, to provide foundational context for pricing initiatives
- Communicate and build support for recommendations among business leaders across the organization
- Participate in continuous training with other functions in the Global Pricing & Interchange Strategy team
