What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manager, Corporate Communications position at Visa?
As a Manager on the Global Corporate Communications team, you will play a pivotal role in crafting and delivering compelling narratives that resonate with diverse internal and external audiences, enhancing our brand's reputation, and driving engagement through strategic storytelling. The ideal candidate will have experience with media relations, strong project management skills, with a knack for identifying what is newsworthy and culturally relevant. This individual is expected to:
- Participate in the development of compelling stories that showcase Visa’s innovation, leadership, and impact in the payments industry
- Help maintain strong relationships with key journalists. Proactively pitch stories to top tier media outlets and respond to inquiries to secure positive coverage
- Write and edit press releases, op eds, talking points, and other external and internal communications materials.
- Craft compelling content for internal, digital and social channels designed to engage readers and encourage them to click to read more
- Active management of our awards and media training programs and updates to key corporate materials
- Collaborate cross functionally with investor relations, legal, and other teams to align messaging and strategies while balancing the needs of multiple stakeholders
