Job Title: RN - Progressive Surgical Unit | Location: Richland, WA | Shift: Full-Time (36 hours/week), Variable Shifts | Hiring Incentive: Up to a $18,000 hiring bonus

Virtus Healthcare Staffing is searching for a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our partner's Progressive Surgical Unit in Richland, WA. This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced acute care nurse to provide high-quality post-operative care in a fast-paced and supportive environment. We are offering a hiring bonus of up to $18,000 for eligible external candidates with at least 12 months of hospital acute care experience.

As an RN in the Progressive Surgical Unit, you will be a vital member of a multidisciplinary team, providing intermediate care to patients who have recently undergone surgery. Your role is central to monitoring patient recovery, managing a variety of post-operative conditions, and ensuring a seamless transition from the operating room to full recovery. This position requires a professional with strong clinical skills and a passion for surgical and rehabilitative care.

• Provide direct patient care, assessing and monitoring patients' conditions in a post-operative setting.

• Administer medications, manage pain, and provide wound care as prescribed by physicians.

• Monitor patients for signs of complications and respond to changes in their condition.

• Collaborate with surgeons, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.

• Educate patients and their families on post-operative care and recovery expectations.

• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and documentation.

• Required Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program.

  • A Washington Registered Nurse License is required upon hire.

  • A National Provider BLS from the American Heart Association is required upon hire.

  • A minimum of 1 year of nursing experience is required for the role; candidates with at least 12 months of hospital acute care experience are eligible for the bonus.
