The Site Coordinator is responsible for the daily on-site management of the Virtuous Boss NextGen Moguls After School Program. This role ensures smooth program operations, high-quality instruction, and a safe, engaging environment for students. The Site Coordinator serves as the on-site leader, supervising instructors, communicating with families, and implementing program activities—while reporting directly to the Director of After School Programs.
Key ResponsibilitiesProgram Implementation
Oversee day-to-day program operations to ensure activities run smoothly and align with the Virtuous Boss curriculum.
Support instructors in delivering engaging academic, enrichment, arts, and recreation activities.
Ensure program materials, spaces, and resources are prepared, organized, and used appropriately.
Monitor program flow, transitions, and student engagement to maintain a positive learning environment.
Instructor Supervision
Manage and support on-site instructors, ensuring expectations and schedules are communicated clearly.
Assist with training, coaching, and ongoing guidance to maintain program quality.
Conduct brief daily check-ins and weekly updates with staff to address needs, challenges, or behavior concerns.
Provide feedback to the Director regarding staff performance and operational needs.
Student Support & Safety
Maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for all students.
Monitor student behavior, address conflicts, and implement positive behavior support strategies.
Uphold all safety protocols, emergency procedures, and supervision standards.
Ensure accurate student attendance is recorded daily.
Family & School Communication
Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for parents, guardians, and school personnel.
Provide regular updates on student participation, behavior, and program activities.
Foster strong, professional relationships with families and school staff to support student success.
Administrative Duties
Complete daily attendance, incident reports, staff check-in logs, and other required documentation.
Assist the Director with program data, supply requests, scheduling, and reporting needs.
Ensure staff certifications, student forms, and compliance records remain up to date.
Support coordination of special events, showcases, and family engagement activities.
Qualifications
High school diploma required; associate's or bachelor's degree in education, child development, or related fields preferred.
Experience working with youth in after-school, camp, or educational settings.
Previous experience in a leadership, supervisory, or coordinator role strongly preferred.
Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage staff, resolve conflicts, and maintain a positive team environment.
CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure.
Additional Information
This is a part-time position, primarily during after-school hours, Monday–Thursday. Occasional additional hours may be required for meetings, trainings, or special events. The Site Coordinator plays a critical role in maintaining the quality, safety, and success of the program by supporting instructors and ensuring a positive experience for all students.
