Reporting to the Sr. Director, Human Resources, the Director, Human Resources Business Partner – Commercial (HRBP) will work closely with the organization to drive and deliver HR strategies and solutions that support our corporate goals. In this role, the HRBP will be responsible for a wide range of initiatives including, talent management, employee retention and engagement, performance management, organizational development, employee relations and a variety of other HR initiatives. The ideal candidate will establish and maintain trust and credibility throughout the organization, be committed to fostering a patient-centric culture, can partner effectively across all levels, and can adapt and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
This role is based in our Waltham, MA headquarters. Our office-based employees are required to work in the office three (3) days a week.
Responsibilities (including, but not limited to):
- Provide leadership and expertise on both strategic and tactical HR matters for the Commercial organization and other groups, as needed
- Establish credibility and trust throughout the organization and act as a valuable partner and coach to the business
- Advise and counsel leadership and line managers in areas such as organizational development, talent and career development through Individual Development Plans (IDP), performance management, compensation, coaching, employee engagement and retention, headcount planning, recognition, etc.
- Interpret and implement HR policies and procedures across the organization; recommend continual improvements, as needed
- Actively participate in the recruitment of talent ensuring we hire the best of the best
- Work collaboratively with the HRBP team to help drive and implement all HR programs, including talent & career development, career progression, leadership development, engagement
- In partnership with Commercial training team, develop, drive, and deliver training and development programs aligned with the needs of the business
- Partner with employees and managers at all levels to address and resolve employee relations matters and conduct investigations, as needed, working with Legal and Compliance
Qualifications:
- Requires a Bachelor’s degree with 12 years’ progressive or equivalent experience in Human Resources
- Requires experience working in a fast-paced biotech or pharma organization supporting a Commercial organization
- Ability to work with all levels with strong interpersonal and influencing skills
- Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
- Demonstrated ability with coaching, facilitation & presentation skills, and problem solving
- Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure, maintaining professionalism and sound judgment in challenging situations
- Experience developing and executing HR processes and programs
- Deep knowledge of state and federal compliance and regulations
- Experience in a global organization a plus
- Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proven mindset of proactive continuous improvement
- Efficient independent worker with ability to focus and drive for results
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to handle multiple tasks
- Strong commitment to ethical standards
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (i.e., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, etc.)
- Ability to travel up to 10%
