Project Finance Paralegal β Renewable Energy
Location: Los Angeles, CA or Durham, NC (In-Person Required)
Relocation: Open to candidates willing to relocate to either location
Our client, a leading renewable energy platform backed by significant institutional capital, is seeking a Project Finance Paralegal to join its growing legal team. This is a highly visible, in-person role supporting complex financing and development transactions across utility-scale solar, wind, and energy storage projects nationwide.
Responsibilities:
- Support attorneys on project finance, tax equity, M&A, and development transactions related to renewable energy assets
- Assist with drafting, reviewing, and organizing transaction documents, including financing agreements, ancillary contracts, and closing deliverables
- Manage deal closings, including checklists, signature packets, and post-closing documentation
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external counsel, lenders, investors, and developers
- Maintain and organize transaction files, data rooms, and precedent materials
- Conduct basic legal research and assist with due diligence as needed
Qualifications:
- 3 years of paralegal experience, ideally with project finance, real estate, energy, or infrastructure transactions
- Experience supporting complex commercial or financing deals (renewable energy experience strongly preferred)
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deal-driven environment
- Excellent attention to detail and communication skills
Location Requirement:
This role is in-person. Candidates must be:
- Based in Los Angeles, CA or Durham, NC, or
- Open to relocating to either Los Angeles or Durham
