Manager, Transmission & Interconnection
📍 Reno, NV (Hybrid)
I'm partnering with a leading renewable energy developer to identify a Manager, Transmission & Interconnection to support a growing portfolio of utility-scale energy projects across the Western U.S.
This is a high impact opportunity for someone with experience leading transmission strategy, managing interconnection processes, and navigating complex utility and ISO/RTO environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead transmission and interconnection strategy for utility-scale development projects.
- Manage interconnection requests, transmission service, and utility/ISO relationships.
- Evaluate transmission constraints, interconnection queues, congestion, and expansion plans to support project siting and development.
- Coordinate cross-functionally with development, engineering, commercial, and executive leadership teams.
- Monitor evolving market rules, regulatory developments, and transmission planning activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Renewable Energy, or a related field.
- 5-10 years of experience in transmission planning, interconnection, project development, or grid strategy.
- Experience working within WECC, CAISO, SPP, ERCOT, or other organized power markets.
- Strong understanding of interconnection processes, transmission service, and utility/ISO engagement.
- Experience negotiating or managing Interconnection Agreements and Transmission Service Agreements is highly preferred.
Location: Hybrid in Reno, NV. Candidates should be local or willing to relocate.
