What will the Recruiting Assistant do?
The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and administrative skills to manage a variety of functions related to recruitment, including reporting to the Director of Recruiting and coordinating communication between job applicants. This entry-level position is full-time and does not typically involve overtime or weekend hours. You must enjoy working with others and have the ability to provide exceptional customer service
What is the Recruiting Assistant responsible for?
• Prepare orientations, schedule onboarding of new hires, coordinating hotel reservations, transportation.
• Accepts, reviews, and processes applications for selection.
• Interviews applicants conducts background checks, processes Motor Vehicle Reports and DAC reports, and ensures compliance with all DOT and company hiring standards.
• Utilizes Applicant Tracking software.
• Coordinates and schedules new hires for orientation.
• Records applications and manages the flow of documents and information within company database systems.
• Introduces company benefits to driver and oversees the orientation process including proper introduction of our company culture.
• Ongoing interface with Recruiting Director to accurately identify and respond to existing and upcoming driver staffing needs.
What knowledge, skills and abilities are required for the Recruiting Assistant role?
1. Previous recruiting experience preferred but not required.
2. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
3. Strong decision-making skills
4. Ability to manage relationships both internally and externally.
5. Strong interpersonal skills to develop and maintain positive relationships.
6. Strong communication skills (oral, written and listening)
7. Strong team player.
8. Attention to detail and accuracy a must.
9. Work occasionally requires a high level of mental effort and strain when performing essential duties. Must be able to perform the essential duties of the position with time constraints, interruptions.
10. Work may require more than 40 hours per week.

Visual requirements include reading off a computer screen as well as printed materials. A high degree of dexterity is required due to frequent use of a telephone console.
Verbal and auditory requirements include the ability to communicate clearly over the telephone as well as in person.
There is a moderate level of grasping, lifting, pushing and/or pulling of objects of less than 50 lbs.
