The Electrical Design Engineer is responsible for designing power transformers for various applications using design principles, research data, appropriate industry standards, and proposed product specifications. An ideal candidate will have either an associate degree in electrical engineering or be currently working towards it.

Summary
The Electrical Design Engineer is responsible for designing power transformers for various applications using design principles, research data, appropriate industry standards, and proposed product specifications. An ideal candidate will have either an associate degree in electrical engineering or be currently working towards it.
Core Responsibilities
- Transformer Reliability: Ensure transformer reliability through various dielectric tests, thermal behavior, and short circuit behavior using appropriate tools for large power transformers and autotransformers. Apply all relevant industry standards governing the design and manufacture of power transformers.
- Design Drawings: Produce accurate, detailed design drawings of oil type transformer designs. Review and check designs produced by other electrical engineers to help ensure conformance to specifications. Use expertise and judgment in selecting design parameters.
- Quotation Designs: Run quotation designs for the sales department and ensure review and approval of engineering management before submission.
- Material Ordering & Packaging: Take charge of electrical advance material ordering (AO), design, and packaging. Generate Bills of Material (BOM) for all materials and accessories needed in a mechanical design package.
- Education: Bachelor degree in electrical engineering
- Experience: 1 year of experience in electrical design, with practical knowledge tools such as Autodesk Inventor, Creo, and AutoCAD.
- Skills & Abilities: Demonstrated proficiency in adaptability, analytical skills, time management and organization, and verbal and written communication skills.
