Job Description
The Department of Business Information Technology in the R. B. Pamplin College of Business at Virginia Tech invites applications for a non tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor of Practice. Duties will include teaching information technology (IT), business analytics, supply chain management or cybersecurity courses at the undergraduate and graduate level. The teaching load will be 24 credit hours per year. Other duties may include participation in departmental committees, and activities including advising and mentoring students as assigned by the department head. Occasional travel may be required to attend professional meetings and conferences.

Required Qualifications
Master’s degree in business administration, business analytics, supply chain management, information technology (IT) or related field; job-related experience in IT, cybersecurity, analytics or supply chain; effective communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Ph.D. in supply chain, management science, IS or IT-related field. Professional certifications in IT, analytics, cybersecurity or supply chain management.

Exempt: Not eligible for overtime
