Virginia Pain and Restorative health is a compassionate, patient-centered private pain management practice dedicated to providing exceptional care and improving the quality of life for our patients. We are now seeking a reliable, professional, and friendly Front Desk Receptionist to be the welcoming face of our office and support the daily operations of our medical team.
Responsibilities
- Greet and check in patients in a courteous and professional manner
- Answer incoming phone calls and respond to patient inquiries
- Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments
- Verify patient demographics, insurance information, and referrals
- Collect copays, balances, and process patient payments
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records (EMR)
- Complete patient registration and intake paperwork
- Manage provider schedules and communicate appointment changes
- Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow
- Scan, fax, and upload medical documents as needed
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Previous medical office, front desk, or receptionist experience preferred
- Familiarity with EMR systems and medical scheduling software preferred
- Knowledge of insurance verification and prior authorization processes is preferred
- Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills
- Ability to maintain professionalism and empathy when working with patients experiencing chronic pain
- Proficient with computers, phone systems, and basic office software
