Job Duties
The successful candidate will:
- Assist in organizing and directing all phases of the Lacrosse Program.
- Recruit and evaluate potential student-athletes.
- Coordinate team travel arrangements.
- Design and implement training programs focused on athlete development, injury prevention, and performance enhancement
- Collaborate with coaching staff, athletic department, and VMI administration to support student-athlete academic progress and personal development
- Perform administrative duties and other duties as assigned by the Head Coach.
- Ensure compliance with VMI, conference, and NCAA rules and regulations.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree as well as Lacrosse coaching experience.
- Must posses a valid drivers license
- Demonstrated success in training, mentoring, and developing student-athletes
- Proven track record in recruiting and retaining quality student-athletes
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative approach to working with staff and administrators
Additional Considerations
Some (generally two (2) years) of College Lacrosse coaching experience
