West Creek Office (Goochland County, VA - Richmond, VA Metro Region)
This position is based out of our beautiful West Creek Office Park location. This position will report full-time on site, no relocation offered.
Office hours: Monday-Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm

- Gathering business and end user requirements
- Analyzing and evaluating personal computing products, devices, and systems available in the marketplace for affordability, compatibility, expandability, and ease of use/support
- Installing and configuring PC systems software to optimize performance and integration with client/server applications and info-communications transmission networks
- Analyzing functionality and risks for mobile computing devices, including policies and approaches for managing security and data back-up in bring-your-own-device (BYOD) environments A Senior Professional (P3) applies advanced knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education and work experience. Responsibilities may include:
- Managing projects / processes, working independently with limited supervision.
- Coaching and reviewing the work of lower-level professionals.
- Problems faced are difficult and sometimes complex.

Primary Duties
Maintain Service Levels for technical infrastructure (up and running).
- Manage corporate desktops according to IS established best practices
- Familiarity with Active Directory, Group Policy, and domain-joined environments.
- Experience creating, testing, and deploying application packages using Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (SCCM) and Intune.
- Experience with enterprise patching strategies, including testing, deployment, rollback, and compliance reporting; Ability to schedule and automate patch deployments across large, distributed environments.
- Manage issues without having to escalate desktop or Office 365 issues to another level.
- Bridge the desktop environment and the server environment
- Maintain and support PC hardware and printers/copiers
- Maintain and support all remote access points to the VFB network
- Responsible for the logical & physical support of all network printers
- Support desktop applications.
- Troubleshoot desktop security issues.
- Respond to Service Desk issues and escalations based on established service levels.
- Support Windows remote users.
- Communicate and respond to customer inquiries and requests based on established service levels.
- Use interpersonal and communication skills to draw technical information out of a non-technical client
- Pursue new educational opportunities and contribute to the IS Wiki information database
- Software Packaging & Deployment; Package and deploy applications using SCCM and Microsoft Intune. Test and validate software packages before deployment.
- All other duties as assigned.
- Serves as a member of the IS Incident Management support team.
- Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate or equivalent
- A Certified; Security Certified
- 5 to 10 years of desktop administration experience
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology or equivalent
- Knowledge of Microsoft networking, to include TCP/IP and name resolution
- Strong knowledge of desktop and laptop hardware
- Strong knowledge of printers, copiers, and fax machines
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Good proficiency in Office 365 Applications
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Servers
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
- Hands-on experience configuring and managing Patch My PC with Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (SCCM) or Intune.
- Understanding of third-party application patching workflows and catalog management.
- Ability to troubleshoot patch deployment failures and remediate issues.
- Experience with PowerShell or other scripting tools to extend patch management capabilities.
- Proficiency in designing, maintaining, and troubleshooting SCCM task sequences for OS deployment.
- Skills in creating and maintaining golden images for Windows clients.
