Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for a Post-Award Research Administrator based in Richmond, Virginia, with some flexibility for remote work. The Post-Award Research Administrator will provide financial and administrative support for funded research projects. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing grant compliance, tracking budgets, preparing financial reports, handling invoicing, overseeing project closeouts, and liaising with internal and external stakeholders. Coordination with faculty, staff, and funding agencies will be essential to ensure adherence to all regulatory and reporting requirements.
Qualifications
- Experience in research administration, specifically in managing grant compliance, budget tracking, and financial reporting
- Proficiency with financial management systems, data analysis, and advanced use of spreadsheets and databases
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a time-sensitive environment
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders
- Knowledge of federal, state, and institutional regulations related to research grants and compliance
- Ability to interpret grant guidelines and facilitate project closeout processes effectively
- Preferred qualifications include certification in research administration (e.g., CRA) or experience in a higher education setting
